Custom Terribleness
Tired of the same old dystopias? Randomized Dystopia suggests three rights that your fictional tyranny could deny its citizens!
Imagine a world without these rights:
- States Parties shall refrain from recruiting any person who has not attained the age of fifteen years into their armed forces. In recruiting among those persons who have attained the age of fifteen years but who have not attained the age of eighteen years, States Parties shall endeavour to give priority to those who are oldest. (Convention on the Rights of the Child, Article 38, Section 3)
- States Parties shall take all appropriate measures to eliminate discrimination against women in all matters relating to marriage and family relations and in particular shall ensure, on a basis of equality of men and women: The same right freely to choose a spouse and to enter into marriage only with their free and full consent. (Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, Article 16, Section 1, Clause B)
- Everyone has the right to rest and leisure, including reasonable limitation of working hours and periodic holidays with pay. (Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 24)
